Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have answers.

How do virtual telehealth appointments work?

Our virtual telehealth appointments are conducted using secure, HIPAA-compliant software that supports both voice and video. You’ll join your appointment via the patient portal, where you’ll be able to speak with your healthcare provider in real-time, from the comfort of your home.

Is my personal information secure during the virtual appointment?

Yes, our platform uses encrypted software to ensure that your personal health information remains confidential and secure. We adhere to strict privacy standards to protect your data.

Do I need any special equipment to participate in my appointment?

All you need is a device with a stable internet connection, a microphone, and a camera. Most smartphones, tablets, and computers are compatible with our telehealth platform. We recommend using headphones for better sound quality if possible.

Do you offer in-person visits?

Not at this time.

Are virtual appointments as effective as in-person visits?

Many patients find virtual appointments to be just as effective as in-person visits, especially for consultations, follow-ups, and routine check-ups. Your provider will be able to assess your needs, answer questions, and provide recommendations, just like in an office setting.

Will my insurance cover virtual telehealth appointments?

Most insurance plans cover telehealth services. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm coverage and any specific requirements.

What insurances do you participate with?

We are currently in-network with Cigna, CareFirst of Maryland and we also accept cash self-pay patients. United Healthcare and Aetna credentials are pending. We will update this website as more insurance is approved. Please check back or email with questions.

What is your self-pay or cash payment policy?

For patients who prefer to pay out of pocket, we offer competitive rates for virtual telehealth appointments. We accept all major credit cards and debit cards through the patient portal.

How much will my virtual telehealth appointment cost if I pay cash?

The cost of a self-pay appointment depends on the type of appointment. Our self pay rates are as follows:

60 min new patient intake 250$; 30min patient follow up 125$; 45 min patient follow up 150$; 60min first hypnotherapy session 150$; 40min follow up hypnotherapy session 115$. You can then submit your receipt to your insurance for out of network benefits.

Which states are eligible for virtual visits?

Currently, we are only licensed to offer virtual visits in Maryland. You must be located in Maryland to participate. Our Virginia license is pending. Please check back for updates as we expand to additional states.

Can I use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) to pay for my virtual appointment?

Yes, you can use both HSAs and FSAs to pay for your virtual telehealth services. Please make sure your account provider covers telehealth, and contact them for any specific requirements.

Will I receive a receipt for my payment?

You can request a receipt after your appointment. You will receive an electronic receipt for your records via the patient portal. You can then choose to submit this to your insurance for out-of-network benefits yourself or for tax purposes.
